Stories from the Stroke Comeback Center

The Stroke Comeback Center is a community based non profit organization that provides programs for stroke and brain trauma survivors in a supportive, caring environment, in the Metro DC area. This blog is dedicated to their stories: heartwarming comeback stories, big and small, written by the survivors, by caregivers, by friends and family, and even by medical professionals. Living with brain injury is hard work, but it can be done.

"Our theme for 2016 is "Building Bridges". Because at the Stroke Comeback Center we help stroke and brain trauma survivors build bridges back to the world: back to their communities, back to work, back to social acceptance, back to being fit - physically and mentally, even back to love... The blog posts in 2016 year will highlight different survivor's stories - how they built bridges and also how their caregivers, friends and family and professionals at the Stroke Comeback Center enabled them in their quest.

Happy reading...
